Version 2026-07-01 · Effective 2026-07-01
These terms govern your use of Bakunye-nathi, a private register that helps families record and find the burial sites of their loved ones.
[TODO: registered responsible party name]
Bakunye-nathi is operated by the responsible party named above, who is the Information Officer for POPIA purposes.
The platform lets a family record burial sites — locations, photographs, voice notes, stories, names and clan names (isibongo), and family relationships — and share them privately within that family.
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your number secure and for the accuracy of what you record.
Record only information you are entitled to share. Respect the dignity of the deceased and the wishes of the family. Do not upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content.
A family Head and Co-admins manage membership and may set an editing policy. Removing a member ends their access to that family’s records.
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change as the platform develops.
We may update these terms and will record the version you agreed to. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
The language you are reading now is recorded together with your consent.
